Days 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25: MEGA FAIL and ATC Backgrounds.
Nope! I'm not going to let it drop! It's been waayy too long but now I'm back, from outer space, I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face. Why the heck are you in my house? Anyway, I bet you thought I'd forgotten or given up. Oh no, not I, I will survive! As long as I know how to art I know I'll stay alive!
My weak excuse is that I took on too many art projects at once and got burned out on it. It happens sometimes, I get excited and try 10 different things and then for a few weeks I just hate art. But there's stuff I owe people and need to work on, so this is me gearing up for it.
Now to lazily make up for all of those lost days, here are some ATC backgrounds I made from 1 big piece of paper. The paper has a canvas texture, which is nice.

And here's the larger painting they were all cut from:

Day 9: Album Covers
I found a fun game being passed around on Facebook that lets you create awesome, random album covers, here's how it works:
1 - Go to Wikipedia and hit random. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”. Third picture, no matter what... it is, will be your album cover.
4 - Use Photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together.
Here are the ones I have made so far. Make some of your own!

P.S. I gotta admit, these images aren't mine. If they are yours, contact me and I'll take them down if you wish.

Day 8: Programmer Dotee Doll in Progress.
Day 7: Evil Dead the Musical Junque Journal Layout
So, so behind. The sad thing is, I have had this done since the real day 7, I just never loaded it. *sigh* Anyway, this is 2 pages from my first Junque Journal decorated with bits of the program from our visit to the Evil Dead Musical last Halloween. I also included the wrist band I got that let me in. The backgrounds are made from paper and paint. I know, the photos are horrible, still holding out for a better camera. Might take new pictures of everything once that happens.

Day 5: Clown Hammer Sketch
Today's creation is the beginning stages of a drawing I am doing for my boyfriend. He could only describe what he wanted online so I didn't go as far with the drawing as I could have, because it might be all wrong. We'll see where this goes in the future. here you can see all kinds of terrible sketchy-bits, pre drawings, alternate arm poses, etc. Awesome:

Day 3 AND 4: Painted Shoes
Well, a day late, awesome. It had to happen some time or another. Won't be the last, probably. Oh well. To the art!
For day 3 and 4 (I swear I did work on this a bit on day 3) we have this little painted shoe. It's the left half of a commission I am doing for one of my friends. I am using acrylic paints mixed with fabric medium and the shoes themselves are Chuck Taylors. You can click the picture to make it bigger to see all the detail. More shoe-yness will come in the future.

Day 2: Mashed Potatoes?
Oh my god, I am so bad at this. But it's the whole point, right? To get better? Anyway, it's 10:19 PM right now and I just remembered I was supposed to create something. Oops. Well, I *did* try something new today, I made mashed potatoes and I tried putting rosemary in them. Yep, thought of that all by myself. Amazing. Let's count that for now, and I'll come up with something proper tomorrow, along with Day 3.

Day 1: tree Sprite Dotee doll!
Well, let's see if I post this in time. It's so late because today has been the worst first-of-the-year ever. I broke my glasses last night by stepping on them and they weren't fixed until late afternoon, but by then I felt really sick and wasn't up to doing much of anything. But after that, I knew I had to try to get *something* done for the blog, or else what's the point? Missing the first day?? So here it is, minutes before midnight on day one, a tree/forest sprite dotee doll.

Her name is Maple and she is 3 inches long without the hanger or tail. I don't have a tute to share because I mad eit up as I went along, but I'm sure if you googled "dotee doll tutorial" some good stuff would come up. She is made from fabric, thread, beads, ribbon and a little bit of colored pencil on her face.
